After seeing the issue persist after resetting the application and my computer alike, I checked to see if my source video was also out of sync, but they are not. Me being a user of Vegas for a few years now, I thought "idk maybe this is just a stupid preview glitch and when I render it everything will be in sync" which wasn't the case, even after rendering, it showed the same delay that my preview was showing. As in, I can't really sync up clips because a few seconds later it's out of sync again. At first I tried to just move my video track behind a few seconds to balance it out, but then while watching the preview window after fixing it at one point in the video, it was out of sync again in another area.
My video and audio tracks were a few seconds out of sync. Within the last week, I got back into editing videos, mostly just funny clips from games with my friends, but I noticed a huge issue right away.
Naturally, doing this wiped all my hard drives so I had to reinstall everything, Vegas included, but I knew that going into it. Recently, around late September/early October, I had to reset my Windows due to an unrelated issue I had with my processor. I previously had Vegas Pro 14 and switched to this because of the sale on HumbleBundle.

I am using Vegas Movie Studio 16 Platinum, I bought it a few months ago as part of a HumbleBundle (so it's a legitimate copy not pirated or anything). 128 GB SSD which Vegas is installed on (and a few other drives but i don't know if they're important for this)
